Rhino LITE is 40% lighter than Rhino 38999 and intended for use with Aluminium cable.

  • When used with compatible aluminium conductors overall power system average weight savings of over 30% can be achieved

Applications

  • Weight critical applications that utilise Aluminium power cable
  • Harsh environment applications

Technicals

  • Operating temperature –55˚C to +150˚C
  • Sealing (mated and unmated) IP69K, 1hr at 2 metres immersion and proof against high pressure steam jet cleaning
  • Salt spray resistance is plating dependent, eg 500hrs for Black Zinc Nickel
  • Fluid resistance as per MIL-DTL-38999L
  • IP2X finger protection in accordance with BS EN 60529 mechanical finger
  • RoHS compliant (unless Olive Drab Cadmium plate is specified)
  • Current rating up to 1000A
  • Shell to shell continuity < 2.50mΩ initially, in accordance with EIA-364-83
  • Shell to backshell continuity < 5.00mΩ initially, in accordance with EIA-364-83
  • Insulation resistance 5000MΩ
  • Working voltage: Size 17 to 25: 875Vac RMS at sea level, 1238Vdc at sea level
  • Dielectric withstand voltage (EIA-364-2): Size 17 to 25: At 2625Vac RMS, 2mA max leakage current
  • EMI 360˚ screening facilitated with straight or 90˚ EMC backshell
  • Mating durability 500 cycles minimum, contacts rated to 20,000 cycles
  • Non-magnetic
  • Crimp, lug or bus-bar termination
  • Anti-vibration Tri-start thread coupling
  • Straight, right angle or locking ring only backshell options
