Over the last twelve months Amphenol Ltd, has completed over £1.5m of investment in its UK manufacturing facility in Kent; refurbishing clean room assembly areas, installing a new pre production dept and installing a family of new Nakamura CNC machines. For 2018, additional investment has been set aside to further enhance its cables and looms assembly areas, mould shop and electro plating departments.

The investment will help to meet growing demand for its innovative technology, strengthening its reliability of supply and providing a modernised, efficient and leading operational workplace.

Amphenol Ltd positions its Defence and Aerospace business around the concept of “innovative interconnect” through its own UK team of design and applications engineers and is just a couple months away from launching another exciting product concept in “Stingray”; a self-aligning, low profile and sealed, man-worn connector, offering an excellent solution for audio, power and data signal applications.

“The Amphenol approach, globally, is to invest in facilities locally to our markets and customers. This programme of investment in our UK machining, moulding, plating and assembly operations builds on that philosophy and our 55 years of manufacturing history in the UK” adds Steve Roberts, General Manager of Amphenol Ltd.
