Typical weight savings are as much as 50% compared to standard Terrapin connectors made from Brass. All popular performance features and high specifications of the original Terrapin product range have been retained, eg IP68 sealing in both mated and unmated conditions, and of course the unique mating mechanism which allows the same plug to mate with either break-away or locking receptacles.
