Amphenol Companies Showcase Connectivity Technologies at Space-Comm

Amphenol recently attended Space-Comm 2026 alongside several sister companies, presenting connectivity technologies supporting modern space and aerospace systems. The exhibition brought together organisations from across the supply chain, including satellite manufacturers, electronics suppliers and subsystem specialists.

On the Amphenol stand, multiple group companies highlighted capabilities across electrical interconnect, power, RF technology, fibre optics, hermetics and cable assemblies. The display showed the breadth of Amphenol solutions available across demanding aerospace and space environments.

Technologies Presented on the Stand

Amphenol Martec presented hermetic connector solutions designed for demanding aerospace and space environments, with features focused on vacuum integrity, harsh-environment performance and reliability.

Positronic showcased high-reliability connector solutions used in space electronics, including ESA-qualified D-sub connectors available in standard, high-density and mixed density configurations, designed to meet strict requirements for environmental performance and reliability. With additional Micro-D and Nano-D solutions available elsewhere within the Amphenol Group.

Amphenol Fiber Systems International highlighted fibre-optic connectivity solutions for aerospace and defence applications, supporting higher bandwidth requirements while also offering weight-saving advantages over traditional copper systems. They presented their Space ST connectors, Optical Flex and Expanded Beam Technologies.

IntelliConnect part of the Trexon Group, represented Amphenol’s RF and microwave capability, with products and cable assemblies suited to high-frequency, harsh-environment and space-related applications.

Amphenol Air LB demonstrated aerospace interconnect technologies SIM modular connector range, junction modules, power connectors, cable and pipe management and backshells, used across high-demand aeronautical applications, including embedded electrical systems and power architectures.

Amphenol Interconnect India added a broader aerospace systems perspective with capabilities spanning EWIS wiring, umbilical connectors cable harnesses, optical and power architectures for aircraft, UAV’s, missiles, radars and satellites. They also showcased their Spintact slip-ring technology used in rotating systems.

Key Themes Reinforced at the Event

While the stand covered a wide range of technologies, three themes stood out clearly.

Smaller and lighter solutions remain a priority

Across the space sector, there is continued pressure to reduce size and weight while maintaining performance and reliability. This is especially relevant for satellite and other aerospace platforms where every gram matters.

Customers increasingly value broader, end-to-end capability

The mix of companies on the stand reinforced the importance of suppliers that can support multiple aspects of an application, from power, hermetics and high-reliability connectors through to RF, fibre optics, cable assemblies and broader interconnect architectures.

Higher-speed data continues to drive demand and Innovation

As aerospace and space systems handle greater volumes of data, demand continues to grow for high-performance electrical and fibre-optic connectivity capable of supporting higher bandwidth requirements.

Looking Ahead

Space-Comm provided an exciting opportunity to demonstrate how different Amphenol companies support the space industry from multiple angles. Rather than a single product focus, the stand reflected a wider group capability across electrical, RF, fibre-optic and cable assembly solutions for demanding aerospace and space applications.
