By incorporating COTS USB-C technology into the Terrapin SCE2 connector, Amphenol LTD can offer advantages of increased durability and reliability for USB3.0 and 4.0 data transmission in harsh environment applications.
Features
- Industry standard USB-C compatible
- IP68 environmental seal, mated 2 meters for 1 hour
- Ideal for ruggedisation of devices that utilise USB-C
- Available in lightweight Aluminium with Black Zinc Nickel or robust Brass with various finishes
- 1000 hours salt spray (Brass), 500 hours (Aluminium)
- Optional metal or rubber caps for dust and water ingress protection

- Surveillance and data capture equipment
- Ruggedised laptops and PDAs
Technicals
- Can be used with almost any size of COTS USB C connector
- Non-latched receptacle
- 5 Keyway orientations to prevent mis-mating
