The UK’s Open General Licence (AUKUS Nations), the U.S. ITAR Section 126.7 exemption and Australia’s licence-free arrangements provide controlled routes for eligible trade and technical exchange among recognised participants. They do not create an unrestricted market between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Every proposed activity still requires the correct assessment. Scope, classification, recipients, location, end use, security, record-keeping and exclusions continue to matter. A resilient defence supply chain is a network, not simply a stockpile. An alternative manufacturing or repair facility is not a usable recovery route if it cannot receive the drawings, process data, test methods or technical assistance needed to perform the work.
